Life in the Messy Middle: Finding Success in the In-Between
When my friend and business partner and I joined forces to host the ElevateHER 2025 Women’s Conference, I knew we were creating something impactful.
But even in my wildest dreams, I didn’t anticipate just how transformative it would be—not just for the attendees but for me as a business owner. It was one of the most successful endeavors of my career, and the stories of changed lives and renewed visions for purpose-filled living have been overwhelming. But now, the real questions hit me: Can I do it again? Do I want to? How do I duplicate this level of success while staying true to my mission and my audience?
You see, I’m not just about one-time victories or fleeting moments of inspiration. Yes, I stopped and celebrate my wins and thanked God for the amazing results. However, I’m about creating systems and strategies that allow success to be replicated.
Looking forward, I wonder: Did I truly reach the audience I’m called to serve? Did the women I hoped to impact walk away with the transformation they needed?
As a relationship coach, my passion lies in helping couples deepen their connections, discover what works for them, and build relationships that thrive. This passion fuels everything I do, including events like ElevateHER. I’ve realized that in relationships, much like in business, the focus is often on goals and outcomes—the "big wins." But what about the journey in-between? The messy middle where we’re tired, overwhelmed, and unsure if we’ll make it?
That’s where the real work happens. And that’s where success—what I call “good success”—is forged.
The question now isn’t just about duplicating an event. It’s about designing a process, a system that supports people through the in-between. It’s about learning to sustain the momentum when the excitement fades and the hard work begins.
So as I reflect on ElevateHER 2025, I’m not only celebrating its success but also reevaluating what comes next. How do I take this to the next level? How do I continue transforming lives while staying aligned with my purpose?
This journey isn’t just mine—it’s one I’m inviting you to join. Let’s explore what “good success” looks like, not just in a single moment but over the long haul. Together, we can learn to navigate the in-between and emerge stronger, more connected, and more purpose-driven than ever.
