Premarital Coaching

As a Relationship Coach, my clients are often faced with speed bumps that might not seem overly challenging initially. However, if left unattended, those speed bumps could eventually drain life from what could otherwise be a fulfilling relationship. Pre-marital Coaching is one way to confront those speed bumps and gain valuable tools before making that life long commitment to each other.

Premarital Coaching:
So you've met the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, and the engagement is now on the way. You may or may not have set a date yet, but this is pretty much going to happen. However, there are these little "things" your fiancee does - they aren't deal breakers but you haven't really talked about them either. For example, he chews with his mouth open, she pops her gum, he's rude to the server, she argues, he doesn't. She spends too much and he saves every penny. These are what I call speed bumps - they are manageable and may not warrant you calling off the wedding. However, could you live with those things for the rest of your life?

Over time, if not dealt with, they can eat away at your relationship and become hurdles. Therefore, I encourage couples to deal with these speed bumps while they are still manageable. Pursue premarital Coaching before you say "I do."

My goal for every client when providing premarital coaching is to empower the couple with the tools necessary to navigate this new normal ahead of them. It will look different for each couple since relationship goals varies for everyone.

When seeking out the services of a coach, you want one who will place your goals first. Listen to your needs and help you map out a tangible and measurable goal for the journey ahead. By asking a few initial questions you should be able to determine if you have made the connection with your coach.

Finally, Premarital Coaching can make the difference between having a marriage that is thriving versus one that is merely surviving. The initial investment is minute compared to the lifetime of continuous gain.
