Have you done your homework?
That got my attention because so often we focus on what other people are doing, without realizing that our assignment is not getting done. When we become distracted by the assignment of others, if we are not cautious, we give way to resentment, intimidation, jealousy or even fear and insecurity. We start judging ourselves by the standards of others and measure their gifts and talents against our own. Not realizing that God have made and tailored your assignment to YOU. No one can do what you do, like you do it!
Think back to what it was that God placed on your heart to do, and ask yourself what have you done so far? What is your call or passion? I am not talking about your job, what is that thing that you are happy doing? It brings you joy, it makes your heart glad and your soul excited?! Pause and think about it right now - yes! That thing that you were placed on Earth to do. Pick up the idea once again, brush it off and head out towards achieving it, start researching it, start praying about it, start seeking advise from experts about it.
Now, I have always liked Peter because he spoke his mind. He didn't hold anything back, and he questioned everything. Yet Jesus reminded him to stay focused on what he was given to do - which is feed God's lamb and sheep. My prayer for you today is that you would be awaken to the fire smoldering on the inside of you, and a renewed perspective be ignited within you. I ask God to give you a renewed desire to step out in the call that He placed on your life. Trusting Him to do the work, in Jesus Name, Amen.

If we had a nickel for every time we've asked, "Have you done your homework?"... I'd probably be a millionaire. But, seriously, LOVE the blog post! I often have to be reminded to focus on what God has called me to do. There are soooo many distractions, some of them good and some not so good.
